NEW YORK, NY, UNITED STATES, August 24, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — GUUT, Inc. today launched Digitally Signable XHTML InfoApps, letting EU-listed issuers file a single interactive XHTML report that carries an embedded qualified electronic signature and full Inline XBRL (iXBRL) tagging. It is the first implementation to place the signature inside the interactive XHTML file itself, rather than in the separate, detached signature file that nearly all prior XHTML signing has relied on. The capability is available now to EU-listed issuers, filing agents, and the audit and reporting practices that support them, and GUUT is inviting a small group of ESEF-filing issuers to pilot it on their next annual report.

Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/815 requires EU-listed issuers to file annual reports as a single XHTML file, with consolidated IFRS statements tagged in iXBRL so the data is machine-readable. In practice, many issuers meet that requirement by producing a polished PDF for investors and a separate XHTML file built later to satisfy the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) and national regulators, a second production process that adds cost and time without fully delivering the machine-readable report the law intended.

Why the Old Approach Didn’t Work

Existing XHTML signing methods rely on a detached signature, a second file stored alongside the report rather than inside it. If the two files are separated, or either one is lost, the signature can no longer be validated, a fragility that has made signed XHTML difficult for banks and other regulated processors to handle at scale. GUUT’s InfoApp embeds the signature directly inside the XHTML file, the same way a signature lives inside a signed PDF. Making that work required changes on the trust-service side as well, GUUT worked with Evrotrust, a leading EU qualified trust service provider (QTSP), to adapt its signing systems to support a signature embedded natively inside an interactive XHTML document.
The distinction matters beyond compliance. An interactive InfoApp can be read the same way by a person and by an AI system: an analyst filters a table in the browser, while an AI model can extract the same data directly from the file, without scraping or reformatting.

What changes for an issuer, in practice:

• The signature lives inside the report itself, not in a second file that can be lost or separated from it.
One file satisfies both ESEF and iXBRL, tagged inline and validated against ESMA’s taxonomy.
• Board, auditor, and CFO sign-off travels inside the same document that gets filed with the regulator.
• The report is searchable and machine-readable for both investors and AI systems, not just the regulator.

Beyond the signature, an interactive XHTML InfoApp carries the same legal validity and signing workflow as a PDF while offering more. Analysts can search and filter data directly in the report instead of retyping it into a spreadsheet. The format runs the same way online or offline, publishes directly to the web with no conversion step, and its high compression keeps files easy to distribute while performing well on any device.
