Redwood Credit Union’s 1,000 team members gathered on October 13, 2025, at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds for a Day of Impact. RCU assembled nearly 4,000 care bags and birthday boxes – enough for every foster youth in San Francisco and the North Bay counties RCU serves.

The recognition places RCU alongside major Bay Area employers and global brands known for community investment. As the highest-ranking financial institution headquartered in the North Bay, RCU has now earned a place on the list for two consecutive years.

Among the organizations RCU supports is San Francisco-based Compass Family Services, which helps families experiencing homelessness achieve housing stability and economic self-sufficiency.

“Redwood Credit Union’s generous support has a meaningful impact on Compass Family Services and the families we serve,” said Erica Kisch, CEO of Compass Family Services. “Their partnership helps us provide families experiencing homelessness with the comprehensive support they need to find stable housing, strengthen their financial security, and build a more secure future for their children.”

RCU’s community support includes financial contributions, volunteer service, and partnerships with nonprofit organizations across the Bay Area. In 2025, RCU team members spent more than 5,100 hours volunteering for nonprofit and community organizations.

“We’re honored to be recognized among the Bay Area’s leading corporate philanthropists, alongside some of the region’s most prestigious companies,” said Brett Martinez, President and CEO of Redwood Credit Union. “Supporting our communities is at the heart of our mission, and we’re proud to partner with organizations that are making a real difference in people’s lives.”

Kisch noted that RCU’s support extends beyond financial contributions.

“Their team consistently shows up with their time, energy, and care,” she said. “They are a true partner in our work, and we’re grateful for their investment in families and our community.”

The annual San Francisco Business Times Corporate Philanthropy Awards recognize organizations that demonstrate exceptional commitment to charitable giving and community impact, with rankings based on cash contributions to Bay Area charities.
