New Mobility City owners turn personal experience with mobility challenges and equipment service into a mission to help West Michigan families

Mobility City Holdings, Inc. announced the opening of its newest Michigan franchise at 3819 Rivertown Parkway, Suite 150, Grandville, MI 49418, providing mobility equipment repairs, rentals and sales throughout Grand Rapids, Holland, Rockford, Hudsonville and surrounding West Michigan communities.
The opening adds another market to Mobility City’s growing national network of locally owned mobility equipment showrooms and field service technicians.
For the new owners, however, the mission is deeply personal. Garth is a third-generation Navy serviceman who served a combined 26 years in active duty and the Naval Reserves. Natalie lives with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, a progressive neuromuscular condition, giving the couple firsthand experience with both mobility equipment and the frustrations customers can encounter when that equipment requires service. Over the years, they experienced delayed callbacks, lengthy repair waits and difficulty finding temporary solutions when equipment was out of service. They believed customers deserved better.
“We know what it feels like when someone depends on mobility equipment and can’t get the help they need,” said Garth and Natalie. “We wanted to create the kind of mobility company we wished had been there when we needed it. The company had to be responsive, knowledgeable and committed to getting people moving again.” That philosophy closely mirrors the story behind Mobility City itself.

Customers are encouraged to visit the showroom, compare product features, take a test drive if it’s a power chair or scooter, sit in a lift chair and see how standing-up is assisted, compare rollator features, and more. “Try before you buy, is our approach.” said Natalie.
The Grand Rapids-area opening also represents another step in Mobility City Holdings’ national expansion strategy. The company currently has more than 67 locations operating nationwide and has established a long-term vision to grow toward approximately 300 territories across the United States.
